Year 3 Assembly

A huge well done to all of Year 3 today, who were fantastic in their assembly on the Season of Lent. The children, over the past week, have worked so hard to learn all of their lines. Myself and the rest of the staff were so impressed with their efforts! I am very proud!

Here are some pictures from the assembly.

For this week, can the children please learn their lines for our assembly on Lenten Promises. Our first rehearsal for our assembly will be on Monday, so I would like the children to know their lines off-by-heart by then! The assembly is on Friday 17th March – I do hope that you will be able to join us!

As extra homework, the children should be practising their multiplication and division facts for the 3 times tables. We have been doing this in class over the course of this week. There will be a test for these on Monday.

Additionally, there are some spellings to learn for next Friday. These are attached.

Year 3 telling the time!

In Year 3, our Maths focus has been learning the Roman Numerals from 1-12, and telling the time on analogue and digital clocks. To bring all of this together, the children made their own clocks, which used Roman Numerals, and told the time from these by playing a game of ‘What’s the time, Mrs Teixeira?’ You can see some of the children’s work below!038 036035

Can I please ask that, to support the children’s learning, they practise telling the time at home whenever possible.

Have a lovely weekend!
