Year 4 go potty at the British museum

Not literally, but we did see a lot of ancient Greek pots among other artefacts on our trip today. The children behaved brilliantly and learnt a lot as you can see. Thanks to Mr Heading and Mrs Murphy for coming along.

Year 4: Bright sparks

Every teacher dreams of that ‘lightbulb’ moment in the classroom. Yesterday we had 30 of them as the children built electrical circuits! We have also been exploring division of 2 and 3 digit numbers.

Year 4 British Museum trip information

This information has gone home with the children today but just in case…

  • Children must be in school by 8.45am prompt so that we can take the register before the coach departs at 9am
  • School uniform must be worn.
  • The children will be indoors for the day, but rain has been forecast so a lightweight waterproof is advisable as we will have a short walk from the coach to the museum.
  • Your child must bring a packed lunch for the day, including a drink (not fizzy). This should be brought in a suitable, named bag (there are storage lockers at the museum so children will not have to carry their bags around with them during the day).
  • The children may bring up to £5 to spend in the gift shop (to be kept in a purse or wallet)
  • Children may bring a book to read on the coach but must not bring any electronic games or other devices.
  • We are scheduled to arrive back at school before 3.15pm so children can be collected in the normal way at the end of the day, but please check your phone or email for updates just in case of any traffic delays.
